It builds on the foundational knowledge gained through the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM). It focuses on advanced capabilities such as facilitation, coaching, team development, and supporting Scrum and Agile practices across teams and organizations.
 

To earn the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) certification, you must:

  • Hold an active or expired CSM credential from Scrum Alliance or a PSM I or PSM II certification from Scrum.org, accepted in lieu of a CSM credential for A-CSM certification.
  • Have at least 12 months of Scrum Master work experience within the past five years, documented in your Scrum Alliance profile.
  • Complete a minimum 16-hour A-CSM training program delivered by a CST.

The work experience requirement can be completed before or after attending the A-CSM training program.
