The SMC course helps candidates develop an understanding of the Scrum methodology from a Scrum Master point of view. Certification & Exam
SMC professionals have a practical, working knowledge of Scrum that equips them to implement and work in a Scrum environment. The purpose of the SMC exam is to confirm the applicants have achieved sufficient understanding of how to apply Scrum in the projects and to tailor Scrum in a particular scenario as defined by SCRUMstudy SBOK. SMC professionals are facilitators who ensure that the Scrum Team is provided with an environment conducive to completing the project successfully. The Scrum Master guides, facilitates, and teaches Scrum practices to everyone involved in the project; clears impediments for the team; and, ensures that Scrum processes are being followed. Successful candidates will be awarded the SMC certification by SCRUMstudy after passing the certification exam.
Prerequisites
There is no formal prerequisite for this certification. However, it is preferable to complete the Scrum Developer Certified (SDC™) certification before applying for the Scrum Master certification.

Yes. This package includes both the SMC Certification Exam and a comprehensive online course to prepare for the same. However, if you need a classroom training, you need to separately enroll and pay for the same. For availability of classroom training session in your region, please check the classroom training section.
Yes, SMC is an online exam. However, the exam is live proctored which means a Proctor will monitor the exam through a web conferencing tool. Participants will receive a web address and login details for the online proctored examination. The student can take the exam anytime within 6 months after enrolling in the course. Since the exam is proctored by a SCRUMstudy Proctor online, the exam needs to be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance so that SCRUMstudy can arrange a Proctor for the exam. While scheduling the exam, the available time slots will be displayed to the student. Once scheduled, further information will be emailed to the student by the SCRUMstudy support team. The exam contains one hundred multiple choice questions, and students have two hours to complete it. Assistance with accessing the exam is available through the helpful SCRUMstudy support team. Immediately after completing the exam, students will be informed of their results. Successful candidates are awarded the Scrum Master Certified (SMC) certification from SCRUMstudy. They will receive a soft copy of the certificate by email.
This course includes the soft-copy of your SMC certificate only. You can request the physical copy of the SMC certificate on an additional fee of $50, which would be mailed to your physical mailing address.
